LOUVRE MUSEUM - LA GIOCONDA

The title of the painting is La Gioconda. The artist is Leonardo da Vinci. It was painted between 1503 and 1519. The style of this painting is a Portrait but behind the lady there is a landscape. In the picture we can see a woman, she is wearing a dark dress and a transparent veil around her hair. She is sitting  on a brown old chair, and she is  crossing her hands.

We like this picture because it's interesting the way the woman follows you with her eyes wherever you are. Some historians said Gioconda was a Leonardo's neighbour and other historians said Gioconda is a selfportrait of Leonardo.The artist uses dark colours and he uses  greenish, bluish, and some vermilion tones.
